The people of Japan love food.  It’s no surprise that their visual entertainment includes food so often, especially since the Japanese have such rich and unique culinary traditions—and also a bit of a fetish for Western-style desserts.  I don’t know how many of you have read Japanese comics (manga) or watched Japanese animation, but it has to offer some of the most appetizing drawn/animated food I’ve ever seen.

Studio Ghibli films by far have the most delectable animated food on the planet.  Just…just look at this food!  Oishii! (Delicious!)
